What is a credit supplement?
If there is a correction that needs to be made on a mortgage loan borrower's credit report, the mortgage lender will do a credit supplement, also known as a mortgage credit supplement. The mortgage lender will get the required documentation from the mortgage loan borrower and notify a third party credit vendor where the credit vendor will notify the three credit reporting agencies to input and make changes on the mortgage loan borrower's credit report. Credit supplements normally takes 3 to 5 business days to get done and the mortgage loan borrower needs to sign a borrower's authorization form by the borrower to act on their behalf.
