Rental Verification: VOR

Verification of rent is extremely important and is considered a great compensating factor. However, you need to provide 12 months canceled checks paid to the landlord in order for the verification of rent to be valid. If you pay your landlord with cash and you get a paid cash receipt from your landlord, this cannot be used as rental verification. Bank wires going from your bank account to your landlords's account is valid and that can be used. Also, if you are renting from a property management company, a letter from the property management company can be used as verification of rent. Attached is a blog about verification of rent.
