One way of not getting complaints from consumers: Mortgage Brokers
Always trying to please is human nature. Nobody likes giving bad news to people. I have been a real estate investor for over 20 years and have been dealing with many realtors, attorneys, mortgage brokers, and other real estate professionals. As a mortgage broker, one of the worst nightmares you need to deal with is giving bad news to clients. However, one of the many things I have witnessed is when mortgage brokers have a hard time being honest with their clients in giving them bad news. Bad news may be that they got denied a loan or that there are conditions that need to be satisfied before a loan can proceed or just any bad news period. I have also witnessed that many professionals, not just mortgage brokers, but so called professionals in general have a tendency of not returning phone calls or avoiding calls altogether. The best way of ruining your reputation is by not being upfront with your customer and not telling them bad news or worst yet, not returning their phone calls or avoiding their phone calls.

I have a team I manage and if any one of my loan officers or team members who are under my management does not return phone calls or are not upfront with their clients, I rather not have anything to do with them. We are called professionals for a reason. That reason is to represent the public in an ethical, honest, manner and treat them the way you want to be treated.
