Is a home inspection required by mortgage lenders?

Home inspection is not required by mortgage lenders and it is voluntary. Home inspection is highly recommended. Average home inspection costs $300 depending on the area but the $300 is well worth its weight in gold. No matter how new a home is, there can be defects that is not visible by the human eye and home inspectors can normally detect potential foundation issues, structural issues, and mechanical issues.
