Credit Repair and Qualifying for a Mortgage Loan
Many of my clients have experienced derogatory credit on their consumer credit file.  I have personally, credit bureaus are managed by real live people and people make mistakes.  In the Credit reporting agency it would seem there would be few errors but that is not true.  They are only as good as the information they have received leaving the responsibility of accurate reporting in the hands of the consumer.  Life events do happen and late payments happen or even worse, bankruptcies, foreclosures, short sales etc.  Can these be removed from your credit portfolio, yes they can and credit repair can definitely improve your FICO credit scores.  Nothing is 100% perfect and credit repair most certainly has a place in moving you toward homeownership but there are times credit repair will not issure your mortgage application will be approved.  However this fact does not mean you do not need credit repair.
